Make Your Own Asian Flowers Floral Arrangement
Now that you’ve created the individual elements of your Asian-inspired arrangement – including the elegant Camellia, delicate Plum Blossom, sculptural Bamboo, graceful Ginkgo, and detailed Japanese Maple – it’s time to bring them all together in a beautiful and balanced display. Using your bamboo-covered container, follow these simple steps for a harmonious final composition:
Start with the Camellia:
Trim 25mm from the end of the Camellia stem and position it centrally, about 10mm from the rim of your bamboo container. This flower will act as the focal point of your arrangement.
Add the Japanese Maple:
Measure 20mm down the stem and bend at a right angle. Tape a 10cm 18-gauge wire to extend the stem using brown or green floral tape, then insert into the container and gently curve for movement.
Place the Bamboo:
Tape three 10cm 18-gauge wires to the back of the large Bamboo stem and insert it directly behind the Camellia for height and structure. Add a 10cm wire to the medium Bamboo, bend at a gentle angle, and insert alongside the large stem.
Position the Ginkgo:
Fold 7cm of the Ginkgo wire end, tape it back over itself for strength, trim, and insert it in front of the Bamboo. This leaf’s fan shape adds a beautiful textural contrast.
Insert the Plum Blossom:
Tape a short 18-gauge wire to the base of the Plum Blossom spray. Insert it between the Bamboo stems, curving the wires to naturally shape the spray around the Camellia.
Finishing Touches:
Once everything is in place, top up your container with rice or lentils to hold the elements securely. Adjust each piece until your display feels full and balanced.
This stunning Asian arrangement is ideal for cake decorating using sugar or cold porcelain paste, or as a long-lasting home decor piece when crafted with air drying clay. Let your creativity blossom and display your handmade flowers with pride!
