In this video you will learn the fascinating art of creating succulents using the Ultimate Succulents mould. The process is broken down into clear, step-by-step instructions, making it easy for anyone to follow along. From creating a bead succulent to mini succulents, this guide covers it all. Let's dive into the process.
To make the bead succulent begin by preparing a number two ball of paste. This paste should be in the foliage green colour. Attach the paste to the end of a wire. Shape it into a small, match head-like form and roll it into a sausage about six millimetres long. The mould for the bead succulent is then utilised. This mould is designed with a specific cavity to create the bead-like shape of the succulent. Press the prepared paste into the bottom of the mould. Flex the mould back and forth to create the desired shape and remove. Make as many of these as you need for your succulent.
Once dry assemble the individual beads into a formation using floral tape and a core central wire. Start with the smaller beads at the top graually working down the stem to add the medium and larger size beads.
To add colour to the succulents, dusts can be used. These dusts come in a variety of colours and can be used to give the succulents a more realistic and vibrant appearance. Using a small, soft brush, gently apply the dust to the succulent. Start with a light layer of dust and gradually build up the colour until the desired intensity is achieved. For a more natural look, consider using multiple shades of dust. Apply the lighter shade all over the succulent, then use the darker shade to highlight certain areas and add depth. Once the dust has been applied, the succulent can be steamed to set the colour.
The final part of this video involves creating micro, mini, and small succulents. These tiny succulents are perfect for adding intricate details to a cake or other confections. As with the larger succulents, dust colours are used to add the finishing touch.
By following the steps in this video, anyone can create beautiful succulents using the Flower Pro Ultimate Succulents mould. Whether it's for a cake, cupcakes, or macarons, these succulents add a touch of nature-inspired beauty to any confection.
