Meet mixed media crafter Kerstin Filou

Meet mixed media crafter Kerstin Filou

Introducing guest design team member Kerstin-Inga Peters aka Kerstin Filou. Kerstin is a handicraft enthusiast with a passion for all things craft, especially mixed media projects!

We are thrilled to have Kerstin as a guest design team member here at Katy Sue Designs and we can’t wait to see all the makes to come.

Just take a look at some of her most recent work!

Here’s a little bit of info from Kerstin herself.

My name is Kerstin-Inga Peters aka Kerstin Filou and I live in Germany. I'm a handicraft enthusiast with passion since my childhood. Simply said: Crafting makes me happy. It is a wonderful relaxation and balm for the soul. I love to share this happiness and want to encourage my friends and all the others to inspire and try out.

I find a lot of my inspiration in nature and everyday life, and I can get inspired by absolutely anything . I'm a mixed media crafter & artist, because I love to combine different mediums like colours, moulds, stencils and a lot of other innovative materials which inspire me.

I love the naturalistic designs of Katy Sue Designs, they can be used very well as a base for mixed media layouts or altered art projects for home decoration or in garden areas, I see here a lot of creative possibilities!
Lately I've been enjoying working on altered art projects, like bottles, tins, boxes. I think there are a lot of other objects that you have at home or that nobody can use anymore, it's really exciting to discover them creatively. With only few materials it's possible to create unique projects in your very own style.

I think out of the box is my trademark , this is my freedom and self-expression. I particularly love nature, seasons and the sea. But I also like falling into masculine steampunk themes.

I'm also one of those dinosaurs, who write a blog: https://scrapdesigns77.blogspot.com/

Happy moulding 😁

I’ve been a huge fan of Kerstin’s work for years now and her guest projects demonstrate all so well what it is that I love about her makes – the magic, the story-telling and lots of love and labour that shine through with every detail. So happy to see you having her!
