This instructional video is designed to provide a step-by-step process for creating flowers for cake decorating using the Katy Sue Designs Flower Pro Ultimate Filler Flower mould. This innovative tool offers multiple moulds and cavities to create filler-style flowers. This guide will focus on the creation of two types of blossoms: Forget-Me-Nots and Cherry Blossoms.

Begin by taking a 30-gauge wire and some floral tape, which should be cut into one-quarter width using a tape cutter or a pair of scissors. Wrap the tape around the wire from top to bottom. Once the wire is fully covered, cut it in half and then each half into three, creating six shorter wires. Take three of these wires at a time and make a small hook on the end of each using tweezers.

To create the flower, take a small ball of yellow flower modelling paste or gum paste that fits through the number one hole on the size guide. Place this ball into the mould cavity, then take a number five size piece of pale blue paste and shape it into a cone. Flatten the top of the cone and touch a little bit of egg white onto it. Position the blue paste into the mould over the yellow and use the Dresden tool to pull the paste towards the edges. Finish off with the ball tool to give a smoother back. Flex the mould to remove the paste, revealing the Forget-Me-Not flower. Dip the hooked wire in a little egg white and thread it down through the middle of the flower. Trim off any excess paste at the back of the flower.

To create Cherry Blossoms, follow the same process as for the Forget-Me-Nots, but use pink paste and fine silk stamens. The stamens are wrapped around a 28-gauge wire and covered with floral tape. The paste is shaped into a cone and pressed into the mould.

With practice, these techniques can be used to create a wide variety of flowers for decorating cakes and other confectionery items.
