Meet Cathie & Mel – The Creative Duo Behind Pink Ink Designs
Friends, designers and creative partners whose working relationship stretches back 20 years.
Cathie and Mel have spent much of that time working side by side, sharing ideas, developing products and turning their creativity into something rather special. Around 15 years ago, that partnership created Pink Ink Designs.
What initially began as a small business that the pair hoped they could simply “dip in and dip out” of soon became something much bigger. As more crafters discovered these distinctive stamp designs using Cathie's quirky illustrations, Pink Ink continued to develop into the much-loved creative brand it is today.
There eventually came a point where being a two-person team was no longer enough to manage everything involved while still giving them the time they wanted to spend creating.

That led to the next chapter in the Pink Ink story: working with Katy Sue Designs. This partnership allows them to spend more of their time doing what they love most – designing. With the wider Katy Sue Designs team supporting the brand, Cathie and Mel can now dedicate themselves to developing the next generation of Pink Ink products.
That means looking ahead to new stamps, stencils, papers and creative projects, while continuing to bring the distinctive artwork, personality and imaginative ideas that Pink Ink Designs is known for. And the enthusiasm is clear, after 20 years of creating together, they are still excited by new ideas, new products and the possibilities ahead.
For crafters who already know and love Pink Ink Designs, there is a lot to look forward to. Cathie and Mel are embracing the opportunity to concentrate on creativity while working alongside the Katy Sue Designs team to bring their future ideas to life.
