This video focuses on creating winter foliage for cakes using the Flower Pro mould. The tutorial will guide you through the process of crafting spruce, pine cones, pine needles and larch to form realistic and beautiful winter foliage for cake decoration.

To create spruce, roll paste into a sausage the same length as the small spruce mould. Press into the mould, ensuring the paste fills the mould. Flex the mould to release the spruce at this point if using as half relief flat on a cake. To make a three-dimensional spruce, wrap half width brown floral tape half way down a 24 gauge wire. Brush with edible glue and insert the wire through the channel in the mould and into the paste. Flex the mould to release. Make another spruce half in the mould and brush with edible glue then press the wired half on top. Flex mould to remove and leave to dry.

To make cones, make a floral tape bud and measure a no.6 size ball of caramel-brown paste for the small larch cone and a no.6 large size ball for the large larch cone. Press paste into the mould making sure it is filled to the edges. Brush piping gel onto the floral tape bud and insert into the paste. Flex the mould to release and leave to dry. Make another cone half using the same method and whilst it is still in the mould brush with edible glue and press the dried wired cone half on top. Flex the mould to remove and leave to dry. Once dry, brush over with Chocolate Brown dust. You can use the mould to make needles for the larch or make floral tape pine needles. 

Once all the elements are dry, they can be assembled to create the winter foliage. With the help of this video tutorial you'll soon be creating beautiful. Enjoy the process and have fun with it!
