Katy Sue Designs Welcomes Heather Robertson as a New Guest Demonstrator
We're delighted to welcome Heather Robertson as a new guest demonstrator for Katy Sue Designs and Craft Creations.
Heather is an artist, sculptor and tutor from Hampshire, England. She studied art and design while growing up South Africa, and developed a love for the natural world and wildlife. When she returned to the UK, Heather went on to study with the London Art College, receiving a distinction in Children’s Book Illustration, and illustrated a children’s book for a local author.
Now, Heather is a certified UK Pal Tiya Premium (a concrete-based clay) teacher who runs polymer clay and Pal Tiya Premium workshops in and around the Basingstoke area, as well as running a local craft group. She creates works in polymer clay, Pal Tiya Premium, acrylics, oils, watercolour, charcoal and chalk pastel.
Heather’s art and craft work is heavily influenced by fantasy fiction like ‘The Dark Crystal’, ‘Harry Potter’, ‘The Lord of the Rings’, ‘Labyrinth’ and ‘The Never-Ending Story’, and she is very skilled in making art dolls and figures, collectable wands, fairy doors, dragons, pen pots, gift jars, book covers, wall plaques and jewellery (to name a few!)
She will be appearing in the first episode of new Channel 5 TV Show 'The Wonderful World of Crafting' where passionate crafters are given the opportunity to turn their hobby into a business. Catch her at 8pm on Channel 5 tonight to see her in action!
Heather's first live TV shows with us will be on Create and Craft on Thursday 24th October at 9am, 12pm and 6pm.
We're so happy to have Heather on board, and know that you are all going to love seeing the pieces she can create with our products.
