Welcome to the wonderful world of Katy Sue Designs' manufacturers and designers of imaginative craft and cake decorating products. The Katy Sue product range is equally as popular and useable with cake decorating as general crafts and papercrafts; our award winning silicone moulds are known worldwide for their creative designs, stunning detail and superior quality.
Back in 1993 my Mum (Doreen Thompson) and I (Susan Balfour - me!) began a kitchen table business called Katy Sue Dolls, making miniature porcelain dolls for collectors. The business grew and eventually we had collectors in 28 countries.
After almost 12 years and wanting a new challenge we took a side step and turned our creative talents to the papercraft market.
So in 2004 we set up Katy Sue Designs Ltd as a manufacturer and designer of innovative craft products. In 2006, we created the world famous Flower Soft® brand and launched it into the papercraft market. The popular range regularly appeared on shopping TV channels in the UK, USA and Germany and our products are sold around the world.
In late 2012 we side stepped again and created our own range of food safe silicone moulds for decorating market. This has been so exciting as it has allowed our creative team to return to our roots in sculpting and mould making.
In 2013 we won the Craft and Hobby Association of America’s most innovative product for our cupcake topper moulds and since then have gone onto to win many awards voted for by the general public.
Our moulds are currently sold into over 40 countries and with over 20 years of experience in the creative industries and are bursting with imaginative ideas to bring to the world of cakes and crafts.

The main design, manufacturing and distribution facility is in South Shields, UK. We also have our own Sales and Distribution centre in Champlain, New York, USA.
